AI and its Risk vs Benefit in Early Childhood Implementation

AI Implementation and Early Childhood Development Live Series (April 20 & July 1, 2025): CTS organized and broadcasted a highly successful, multi-episode talk show on 

Facebook Live investigating ‘AI Implementation for Creativity: Risk vs. Benefit for Early Childhood Development.’ These panels convened diverse experts—including child psychologists, technology founders, and academic researchers—to analyze methods for harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance cognitive development while safeguarding children’s emotional health

Policy Level Advocacy

eMHIC & University of Alberta Roundtable Panellist (July 8, 2024): Dr Fahima Mustanzid was invited as an expert speaker at the prestigious, invitation-only Roundtable on Digital Mental Health Strategy & Implementation and the Role of AI in Mental Health. Held at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) and facilitated by Professor Andrew Greenshaw (University of Alberta) in partnership with eMHIC, this symposium brought together top subject-matter experts from Canada and abroad to shape the future of clinical implementation, digital solutions and policy development in mental healthcare.

Youth health program collaboration and talk shows

• Ethnocultural Adaptation of the “Raising Girls & Raising Boys” Workshop Series (July – August 2025): Partnered with the Centre for Sexuality and the Heritage Seniors Resource Centre (HSRC) to design and execute a free, culturally responsive 3-part parenting program covering healthy relationships, media/body image, and pubertal development for ethnoculturally diverse families.
• “How Nutrition Fuels Emotional Intelligence” Masterclass Series (October 2024): Collaborated with clinical psychologists and naturopathic doctors to host a live virtual series exploring the vital biochemical link between nutrition, brain health, and child emotional regulation.
• Cultural Inclusion & Child Identity Workshop (October 12, 2024): CTS produced and hosted a global live broadcast exploring the theme ‘Identity, Child’s Right: Does Cultural Inclusion Play a Role?’ Dr. Fahima Mustanzid collaborated with child educator, Afroza Rozy, and the Executive Director of the Southern Alberta Heritage Language Association (SAHLA), Michael Gretton to advocate for cultural integration and native heritage preservation as structural components of emotional resilience for immigrant and first-generation Canadian children.

Domestic Violence Awareness

Collaborations with HSRC and HSRS Global for raising awareness on prevention of domestic violence across Calgary.

STEM and Community Literacy

Community Literacy & Safety Partnerships (2022–2024): Ongoing STEM-based LEGO workshops and literacy programs at community libraries, alongside strategic collaborations with HSRC and HSRS Global to raise domestic violence prevention awareness across Calgary.
