Fahima Mustanzid
The professional journey of Dr. Fahima Mustanzid and the work of Creative Thinking School (CTS) represent a powerful fusion of high-level digital mental health innovation, cross-organizational collaboration, and direct, grassroots community impact. Dr.Fahima’s role as a global digital health innovator is highlighted by her selection to present the Single Parenting App at the 10th Digital Mental Health Global Congress (eMHIC). This international reach is anchored by strategic academic and professional collaborations alongside industry leaders and clinical researchers. Locally, her unwavering dedication to supporting vulnerable demographics has earned her significant recognition, including being honored by the Calgary Single Mothers Society as a “Mental Health and Wellness Trailblazer” in March 2026.
At the youth level, Dr. Fahima and CTS actively design and deliver interactive, neuro-educational experiences like the “Neuro Creators: Exploring Our Minds” sessions held at local libraries. These community learning environments foster collaborative growth, bringing together dynamic groups of young participants and skilled facilitators to explore brain science. CTS also champions artistic expression as a therapeutic tool, utilizing hands-on classroom art workshops and digital media outreach initiatives, such as the “Explore Art Therapy for Children” series, to foster emotional resilience. Furthermore, their dedication to culturally responsive family resources is evident in the “Raising Girls & Raising Boys” workshop series—an ethnocultural adaptation co-presented with the Centre for Sexuality and HSRC. By bringing ethnoculturally diverse groups of families together in warm, collaborative environments, Dr. Fahima and CTS successfully bridge the gap between cutting-edge mental health theory and compassionate, real-world practice.
